Our performers arrived in San Pedro, Belize to lead the Boat Light Parade for the island. VIP services were also provided to help San Pedro Flyboard get their equipment set up at their new location.
Determined, dedicated and passionate, the athletes of team PowerFly Products were ready for the 2016 Flyboard World Cup in Naples, FL. As this was the 5th Annual World Cup, athletes from all over the World were trained and ready to compete. Fierce competition took place for three consecutive days from September 16th to 18th. After qualifications, battle rounds commenced where each competitor went head to head, eliminating one with the victor proceeding to the next round. Two new World Champions were crowned, both on Team PowerFly. Kristen Smoyer is the 2016 Pro Ladies World Champion and Todd Sawisch is the 2016 Pro Veterans’ World Champion. Gemma Weston placed 2nd in the World for the Pro Ladies and Mark Baxter placed 4th in the World for the Pro Veterans.
The competition was Broadcasted by CBS Sports for the first time ever.
The 2016 Goombay Festival in Nassau, Bahamas was in for a surprise as team PowerFly took center stage in a choreographed LED night show. The performer’s exploded out of the water to Awolnation’s hit song, Sail, and awed the crowd with a 15 minute routine. On the water entertainment was taken to the next level, with each song, the performer’s did in sync maneuvers and tricks while suited with waterproof LED light suits. California based company, Lasertainment, incorporated their stunning laser affects which also told a story with the music. Performers included 2016 Pro Ladies World Champion, Kristen Smoyer; 2015 Pro Ladies World Champion, Gemma Weston; and PowerFly owner, Mark Baxter, who is 4th in the World in the Veteran’s class.
During the day, the performers took center stage within the Nassau Port doing Flyboard shows for the locals, tourist, and cruise ship visitors. They also performed at Junkanoo Beach showcasing height defying tricks and throwing out Frisbee’s to the crowd. This is the first time Nassau, Bahamas has brought in a professional Flyboard show into the islands by the Ministry of Tourism.
Fierce, determined, dedicated and committed. Team PowerFly impressed the HydroFlight industry with it’s talent and skills during the weekend of June 11th, 2016. At the Hydro-Fest in Las Vegas, they swept the competition receiving first in both Pro Ladies by Kristen Smoyer and Pro Men’s by Ben Merrell. Over in Europe, teammate Gemma Weston took first in the Pro Ladies category at the European Championships. Beau Weston, making his first appearance at any competition, placed 6th overall in the Pro Men’s.

PowerFly’s performers are starting the 2016 Summer Season off strong with appearances at some major events during the weekend of April 30th bringing Flyboard shows and entertainment to audiences of over 100,000 viewers.
Starting with Pro Female Flyboarder, Kristen Smoyer, who performed for three days/nights during South Florida’s premier music festival. Music meet the waterfront and Flyboarding, featuring over 50 bands on 3 stages. Headline artists such as Duran Duran, Alabama Shakes, Meghan Trainor, Train, Jason Derulo, Steve Aoki, ZZ Top, The Roots, Evanescence and Salt N Pepa took center stage as Kristen dazzled the crowd with aerial acrobatics and dance moves.
Ladies World Champion, Gemma Weston, found herself in Ireland at the Limerick Riverfest. Thousands of visitors flocked to Limerick European Capital of Culture to participate in an action packed agenda with activities and events. Coupled with Ireland’s top wakeboarder and British Freestyle Jet Ski World Champion, Gemma performed for two full days and nights finding herself the center of attraction. Gemma was also featured in a spectacular firework show for the finale. 32 counties of Ireland and over 20 countries with musical acts from marching bands, gospel choirs, traditional music and DJs entertaining participants along the route.
Mark Baxter traveled to Seychelles where he provided VIP exclusive service to a group who are water sports enthusiast. Mark trained the group to Flyboard and introduced them to the 2015 Flyboard Pro Series, Wireless Remote and BbTALKIN Bluetooth communication devices.
Ronnie Feise performed at Contraband Days Pirate Festival in Louisiana and Ben Merrell attended HydroJam in Texas.
PowerFly Products takes the X-Dubai Flyboard World Cup by storm with their Worldwide team of athletes. PowerFly is a company based out of Melbourne, Florida operated by local residents, husband and wife team Mark and Sabrina Baxter. PowerFly is located at 268 North Wickham Road with a complete showroom and warehouse. They manufacture their own products and are also distributors for several Flyboard and jet ski companies around the World.
PowerFly brought a team of 7 athletes to compete in the 2015 X-Dubai Flyboard World Cup.
The ladies place on the podium and took Gold:
– Gemma Weston from New Zealand placed 1st
– Kristen Smoyer from Sebastian, FL placed 3rd
– Megan Malone from Texas placed 7th
In the Pro Division:
– Ben Merrell from Florida placed 7th
– Ronnie Feise from Texas placed 15th
– Callon Burns from Bermuda placed 24th
In the Veteran’s Division:
– Mark Baxter (owner of PowerFly) from Florida placed 7th

PowerFly Products and their Team Pro Flyers Callon Burns and Ronnie Feise took Rising Sun Indiana by surprise showing their explosive skills on the Ohio River during the National Powerboat Races. On August 15th and 16th, powerboat racers battled for the SuperPro and Pro class National Championship Title. Throughout the competition, hydro flyers Burns and Feise performed stunts, interacted with the crowd, provided flying lessons and tandem flew with an adolescent from the crowd.
